Now that our everyday life is under a critical threat, SeMA, Buk-Seoul Museum of Art invites you to reflect on the relationship between nature and people. In Korean traditional architecture, we do not consider people’s living space to be seperate from nature. 망각에 부치는 노래_전시디자인

This exhibition presents works from the collection of the Seoul Museum of Art that contain various contexts of the act of forgetting and the things that disappear as a result. The title of the exhibition, Ode to forgetting is a quote from one of the works on display, “Ode à l’oubli,” by Louise Bourgeois. “Ode” means a hymn to an object or person, and is a word that Romantic poets often used when writing poems about specific subjects. Therefore, Ode to forgetting does not simply mean the desire to forget memories, but rather a story written about forgetting itself.
